An Evening with Megon McDonough

NOVEMBER 8 @ 6:30PM

Unity Church of Bonita Springs, FL presents a special one night event: “An Evening With Megon McDonough” on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 6:30PM. Tickets are $20 and available at www.unitybonita.org

Through guitar, piano and even the irish bodrahn, McDonough takes her audience on a journey through highlights and events in her life that are both personal and universal. She was bitten by the performing bug when she saw The Beatles on Ed Sullivan and will be doing a couple of songs from her One Woman Show; “How Ringo Saved Me From a Life In The Convent.”

Hailing from a large (8 siblings) Irish Catholic family from Chicago, Megon blazed her own trail. She had her first record deal by the age of fourteen and was opening for John Denver at Carnegie Hall at seventeen.

Tell Your Friends!

Her music repertoire reflects a long and varied career. She’s been in the international touring company of “Behive,” played Patsy in “Always...Patsy Cline,” and has released over twenty albums. She’s performed at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center and theaters and coffeehouses throughout the country. Megon classifies her music as folk/cabaret, citing her love of theater and jazz as the reason for the unusual mix. As for her originals they range from funny (“Butter. I remember butter. We were once like lovers. We were quite a team.”) , to poignant. She is best known for her uplifting song “Amazing Things.”
